The personal data we collect
Haverah may collect, but not always collect all the following data about you:

  • Your browsing activities on the Haverah website

How we use your data

Haverah uses your personal data to:

When you browse our webstore, our webhost automatically receives your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide information about your browser and operating system. This is the normal procedure with any webstore

Email marketing (if applicable).

With your permission, we may send you emails about our webstore, in particular, new additions, special offers, extra discounts for followers and any other relevant updates. What we won’t do is inundate your inbox with emails. You have the right to opt-out of any marketing communication at any time and for that purpose you will see an unsubscribe button on the bottom of every email. How do we gain your consent

When you provide us with personal information to make and complete a transaction/purchase, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, you agree to us collecting this information and using it for that specific reason only. Should we ask for your personal information for any other secondary reason, such as marketing, we will always either ask you directly for your stated consent or provide you with the opportunity to decline.

How we make sure your privacy is secure

We do not reveal, give, lend or sell any of your personal information to any third party. Your personal information will only ever be disclosed without consent if you violate our Terms of Service, if it in the public’s interest or we are required to do so by law.

To protect your personal information, we take all reasonable precautions to follow best practices to ensure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.

WooCommerce

Our webstore is hosted by WooCommerce, acknowledged as the most popular eCommerce platform in the world. This allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data is stored via the databases of the WooCommerce application. The webstore stores all your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

Payment

We use PayPal to process all payments to Haverah. PayPal will use and disclose your information only to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

All details are encrypted via the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). The data from your purchase transaction is stored for only as long as is necessary to ensure completion of your purchase transaction. PayPal has its own privacy policies with respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions. For PayPal, we recommend that you read their privacy policy so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by them. After your purchase is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted. 

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council This is a cooperative effort by brands such as MasterCard, Visa and American Express. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our webstore and its service providers. Please remember, certain providers may be located in or have facilities that you use located in a different jurisdiction than either you or us. Therefore, proceeding with your transaction that involves the services of our third-party service provider means your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located. When you leave our webstore’s website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service.

Third-party services

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, However, certain third-party service providers, such as our payment gateway and other payment transaction processors. For example, if you live in Ireland and your transaction is processed using a payment gateway in the Netherlands, your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under legislation in the Netherlands.

When you click on any third-party links on our webstore, you may be directed away from the Haverah website. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites and encourage you to read their own privacy statements should any clarification be needed or required.

Security

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed. Currently, we do not require/store debit or credit card information.

Cookies

Here is a list of cookies that we use. They are provided here to enable you to decide whether you wish to opt-out or not.

 _session_id, unique token, sessional, allows Shopify to store information about your session (referrer, landing page, etc).

 _shopify_visit, no data held, persistent for 30 minutes from the last visit, used by our website provider’s internal stats tracker to record the number of visits

 _shopify_uniq, no data held, expires midnight (relative to the visitor) of the next day, counts the number of visits to store by a single customer.

cart, unique token, persistent for 2 weeks, stores information about the contents of your cart.

 _secure_session_id, unique token, sessional

storefront_digest, unique token, indefinite if the shop has a password, this is used to determine if the current visitor has access.

Age of consent

By using this website, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your country, state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your country, state or province of residence and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this website.

Changes to this privacy policy

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it. Should our webstore be acquired or merged with that of another concern, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we may continue to sell products to you.
